Visual Impact
(From: http://marinarts.org/html/exhi)

The 25 artists in this exhibit are all recipients of grants from the Marin Arts Council Fund for Artists. The Fund provides direct monetary support to artists in all media for the creation of new work and/or for assistance in advancing their careers.

Monetary support to an individual artist can have significant impact in a number of ways. But the most important, and most visible, is the art itself. This is an opportunity for you, the viewer, to experience this “visual impact” first hand.

Now showing at the Marin Community Foundation (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 5 Hamilton Landing, Novato).

RECEPTION: Thursday September 25, 4:30-6:30pm
The Marin Guide
Megan Hanson, The Marin Guide, has written a great article on art and local community here in Marin...and me! Check it out: LocalArtist,Lauren Bartone
And please share your thoughts and ideas on her blog- I'm eager to hear what locals think about art and the press and community here in Marin.
Marin Art Salon, 2008
I will be participating in the Marin Art Salon this year, sponsored by the Marin Arts Council and Marin Magazine. "The Salons feature some of Marin’s emerging artists and performers and showcase their work in their respective mediums. Guests are treated to music, dance, and literary readings, while browsing walls filled with paintings, photography, and other forms of visual art." I will be showing my work in the salon on May 29th, from 6pm to 9pm. Please join me!

More information on the salon can be found on Marin Magazine's website: http://marinmagazine.com/Marin
