Brucennial 2012
My Chain Link Fence painting was in the Brucennial this year. "Harderer. Betterer. Fasterer. Strongerer." Presented by The Bruce High Quality Foundation & Vito Schabel. Feb 29 - Apr 20, 2012 at 159 BLEECKER ST, NYC. www.brucennial.com

The opening was terrific, crowded and well worth the trip to NY. Some good press: www.observer.com/2012/03/at-brucennial-harder-to-get-into-than-the-whitney-biennial-unknowns-share-wall-space-with-hirst-and-schnabel/

Pirkle Jones Foundation Visual Artist Support Grant
June 9th, 2011
I am the very lucky recipient of this year's Pirkle Jones Foundation Visual Artists Support Grant. The foundation, set up to honor photographer Pirkle Jones, who died in 2009, generously supports emerging and mid-career artists living in Marin County. For information about the work of Pirkle Jones and Ruth-Marion Baruch, visit this site: www.pirklejones.com.  A quote from his biography reads "The passing of photographer Pirkle Jones marks the end of an era. He was one of the few remaining artists who studied with Ansel Adams and became known for his exquisite black-and-white prints whose subject matter ranged from the beauty of the California landscape to the politics of the Black Panthers."

Visual Impact
(From: http://marinarts.org/html/exhi)

The 25 artists in this exhibit are all recipients of grants from the Marin Arts Council Fund for Artists. The Fund provides direct monetary support to artists in all media for the creation of new work and/or for assistance in advancing their careers.

Monetary support to an individual artist can have significant impact in a number of ways. But the most important, and most visible, is the art itself. This is an opportunity for you, the viewer, to experience this “visual impact” first hand.

Now showing at the Marin Community Foundation (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 5 Hamilton Landing, Novato).

RECEPTION: Thursday September 25, 4:30-6:30pm

I will be showing my work in the salon on May 29th, from 6pm to 9pm. Please join me!
