Locals visiting the gallery reveal a variety of histories in relation to the park. Many neighborhood people have grown up near the park, never leaving. This item (a paper straw wrapper,) was from a visitor who was enjoying his last day in the city. His story presented a common theme in the city lately: after living in the city for decades, he had been evicted from his rental, and rather than deal with rising rents, he had decided to leave for a more affordable area.
