Hand painted sample of lace knitting, with a dropped stitch unraveling. The white stitches on a red background are painted in acrylic over a collaged together stack of 8.5" x 11" paperwork. This paper work comes from my work as a teacher and parent and represents the labor of caring for others.
2014, acrylic on collaged paper, work is 8.5" x 11". Floating in a white wood frame made by Smith Anderson North. Frame size is 21” x 17” x 1.5".
